Taken while we were out walking this afternoon. Beautiful but a little cold.

Sign of the Times

Spotted in the side door of a clothes shop. Looks like the owner doesn’t like mornings!

Better Watch the Late Late Show!
Ray D’Arcy is going to be on The Late Late Show plugging the new US “photos of Ireland” book!
How do I know? Well, I was in the kitchen this afternoon taking a break with a cup of tea and a sandwich, talking to Jacinta and I got a call on my mobile.I wasn’t expecting a call, and it was a private number so imagine my surprise when the voice at the other end said, “Hi this is Ray D’Arcy.” I was incredulous and didn’t believe him, but yes, it was Ray from Today FM!
It seems that a couple of my photos made the cut and will appear in the new book! There’s also a small chance that one of them will be shown on national television tomorrow night.
Am I excited? I’m very happy 🙂

Red Sky At Night

Red sky after a beautiful sunset in Garrettstown last Sunday.
The original high-res version is even better! -
The Blarney Stone Restaurant

We’re just back from Blairs Inn in Cloghroe. I can definitely recommend that establishment.
I don’t know about this place. To judge by the mail on the ground inside the door I’d say it’s shut for the winter. -
Mackey’s in Blarney

Mackey’s is a restaurant in Blarney which I have yet to visit. To be honest, I haven’t been to most of the establishments around here and don’t expect to call to this one any time soon. Their prices are just a little expensive.
In the reflection you can see The Muskerry Arms, Supervalu and a tourist shop.
