Ladies free all night
Ladies free all night Mangans nightclub on Carey's Lane has been a regular haunt of nightclubbers in Cork for many years. I haven't frequented this establishment in a long time but I bet it's exactly the same inside! Is it called Vibes now? I saw that logo above this sign. Ladies are free in on...
Queen’s Old Castle
Queen's Old Castle After yesterday's shot I decided to take a photo of the Virgin Megastore which now occupies the site of the old Queen's Old Castle Shopping Center. Off to the left is the entrance to Argos. No misleading titles today! Shot was taken with the camera lying on the ground and I can...
A Virgin in Cork
A Virgin in Cork Taken outside the Virgin Megastore on the Grand Parade Cork. People use this area to meet all the time so there's always a good crowd. The building behind me was the location of the Queen's Old Castle shopping center which was named for Queen Victoria.
Ladder to nowhere
Ladder to nowhere Castle Street, Cork on Saturday. Workmen went off to lunch and left their ladder. Thanks for the positive feedback yesterday. It was great to see so much interest in a photo!

Stop! The Birds!
Stop! The Birds! Street lighting and STOP sign pictured on the quays just up from here last Saturday. I wanted to make the stop sign jump out a bit more but didn't want to force it too much. I do like the leading lines the guide the eye to the top of the pole! And...
Sex or Chocolates
Sex or Chocolates What is their body language saying? This couple were standing still on Princes Street for a good while and I sensed something was amiss. Pictured in the background is the shop front of Ann Summers. The byline in the window reads "Sex or Chocolates"
Round Tower through Window
Round Tower through Window The round tower at Glendalough as seen through a window of the nearby ruins of a church.
The Cones See All
The Cones See All What do you do if you have 5 minutes to kill on a dark Wednesday evening? Get out the camera and shoot long exposure traffic shots!
Glendalough Lower Lake
Glendalough Lower Lake Glendalough derives it's name from the Irish name for the area, "Gleann Da Loch" which roughly translates as "glen of the two lakes". It was a cold enough day so we only got a good look at the lower lake, but I'm looking forward to visiting again!
