Walking on air
My brother Cathal leapt into the air to head the ball when Kilkully Decking played Mulligans played at Turners Cross a few weeks ago.
Unfortunately they lost, but it was a great game of football. Cathal played a blinder!

Whirling around and around
A merry-go-round or whatever you call it kept the kids entertained in the Peace Park last night as Santa visited courtesy of 96FM.
Even the Lord Mayor of Cork turned up. He had no problems finding parking. I saw his car parked up on the broad new pavement outside the park. The “07 C 1” number plate is very distinctive.

For sale at Sherry FitzGerald
These are the swanky new offices of estate agent Sherry FitzGerald in Cork. I find it intriguing that the owners decided to bring in other agents to sell the other floor space in the building.
There are signs for Savills/Hamilton Osborn King and Lisney on the top floor directly above the "Sherry FitzGerald" logo. I’d be really unhappy about that if I was them and had spent so much money on new offices. đŸ™‚

Marlboro
Clothes pegs in a textured cloth bag, Marlboro branded plastic bag, 1993 calendar. Shot at my parents-in-law house.
I love the texture of the clothes bag, but that wasn’t what attracted my attention at first. It was the calendar and the Marlboro bag. Since cigarette advertising is now banned it’s unusual to see any sign outside of shops.

A tiny house down the road from this one in Blarney sold a few weeks ago even though I’m sure you could hardly swing a cat in it …

Towering over the Elysian building site
It’s amazing how much this building site has changed in the last few years. This was taken last May. Now if you took this picture much of the sky would be blocked out by the 3 or 4 storey building work on this side of the site.

The Stanley Super 800 crowd
The crowd went mad cheering and shouting when filming of Stanley Super 800’s Gatecrashing video finally stopped.
You wouldn’t believe how many takes a music video takes but they were as vibrant and cheerful at the end as at the start! Amazing!
