The Old Lady of Madrid

Way back in 2003 I visited my friend Cachu and her family in Madrid.
I had a great time there and took a load of photos but it was months later before I posted any photos.
This is a shot of an old woman sitting in a park enjoying the autumn sunshine somewhere in Madrid. Unfortunately I was quite far away from her and had to use the “digital zoom” of my Sony 717 to get this close so the quality isn’t the best but I really liked this image.

Beached Whale

A beached whale on Garretstown Beach last November.
A notice which is being read by the man in the foreground reads that this is a female long finned pilot whale and asks that people do not remove or bury it as it is required by researchers.
I was reluctant to post this picture in the past 2 months but after what happened in London when a whale died it spurred me to find this photo again.

This was taken on the same night as this photo and this one.

Coats and Hat

It’s unusual to see a man wearing a hat like the one above these days. I made this photo on Patrick Street a few weeks ago and love the different textures and the faces!
