Clouds fly across the sky in this nighttime shot of Cork City. A crane is in the middle distance, practically a symbol of the City at this stage.
The building site in the foreground is on the old site of the Guy And Company building. There’s St. Anne’s Church or Shandon Bells in the distance.

Love the perspective.
Thanks! It was taken from the top of Tesco’s carpark on Paul St., looking mostly north.
Great night time shot of the city. I love the motion blur on the clouds in long exposure shots like this – it gives a very dynamic feel. And look at that crane jib, don’t you just love ultra-wide distortion!
love it , well caught ….where was it taken from , the North Main St.car park ?
Hi,
Stumbled upon your site simply by following a wordpress blogroll link.
Really like this photo …love the way the crane arm gives the impression that it could go on forever.
