Shih tzu’s Eyes

Our shih tzu Oscar looks up at me as I photograph him on Christmas Day 2007. He must have wondered when he was getting his Christmas dinner! (Later, when baby was gone to bed!)

Crimson Red Flowers

Glowing red flowers captured my attention at Fitzgerald’s Park a year ago, but I was never happy with my work on this photo until recently. Now I love it. Hope you like it too!

Traffic must go left

Traffic must go left. This is one of those shots that has sat in TODO folder for ages and ages because I liked it, but it was sorely in need of some work. I probably cheated by making it black and white.

Shot down at Cork Docklands about 13 months ago.

Conor Pass Hills and Clouds

This image broke my heart. I spent a long time trying to get the darkened sky layer and the brightened ground layer to merge nicely but I’m still not happy with it.

This small web version looks almost ok but I can still see the offending bits that are wrong.

Call of the evening

A bird atop the light outside my house calls into the glowing evening sky heralding the end of 2007.

After walking Oscar I had to grab my camera and shoot the beautiful evening sky. The background was this colour, there’s no trickery here except a little vignetting and sharpening.

The Happy Shih Tzu

Our Shih Tzu, Oscar, received a long overdue grooming today. Here he is on the 10th of December 2007. Can you imagine how much more hair grew since then?

Yes, this photo is very similar to this beach photo. They were taken moments apart. I’m running low on prepared images, it’s after 9pm and I have lots of other things to do tonight before I go to bed. *yawn*

Soft golden sunset

Sunset over Garrettstown Beach.

PS. spammers are using the inphotos.org domain to send spam again which is why this site was down for most of the day. You should see the incoming traffic graph because of all the bounced messages. I have now shut down Postfix, and redirecting email to through my domain registrar, Joker.com who hopefully can handle the load better. Email to donncha@inphotos.org may not reach me for several hours however.

Carroll’s Quay Apartments

This is the apartment block that sprang up opposite the car park, from which I took this photo.

The building itself is a dull grey monstrosity. Large windows look out on the street, hardly offering any privacy for residents. Tiny balconies sit outside some of the windows.

Shih Tzu on a sunset beach

Our Shih Tzu Oscar on Garrettstown Beach again. We forgot to bring a ball with us but Oscar went running after anything I threw.

He never did catch the object. I guess there’s nothing quite like a tennis ball eh?

I love the evening sun on him in this picture!

Mr Whirly the ice cream man

An ice cream van in December? Yes, Mr Whirly was in Kinsale. Obviously someone isn’t bothered by the cold!
