A man and a blank mural

An elderly man sits on a bench in Bishop Lucey Park. The wall behind him is normally a mural but in July 2019, the wall was mostly blank.

In contrast to the photo yesterday of the same bench in 2015 when a mural appeared on the wall, this photo from July 2019 features a blank wall.

An elderly man, with his walker sits on the same bench. I hope he made it through the COVID pandemic.

I wonder if this man checking his phone noticed the mural behind him in Bishop Lucey Park. In this fragment of the mural you can see the old Roches Stores building, Mangan’s Clock and Shandon Bells.

I remember reading that police would stop you taking photos of the Eiffel Tower at night with a camera on a tripod but I never experienced that. Do they do that any more?

A Masked Break

At the height of the Covid19 Pandemic in July 2020, someone takes a break out in the open of a narrow street wearing a mask while he looks at his phone.

At the height (one of them, anyway) of the COVID19 pandemic in July 2020, someone takes a break on the street. He still wears his mask, despite being outside and nowhere near anyone.

Numbers of COVID19 infections are rising again, unfortunately. Schools are back after the summer. It’s so depressing.
