A spectator watching the St Patrick’s Day Parade in Cork yesterday climbed up on the National Monument on the Grand Parade to get a better view. Lucky him. As I said yesterday, it was easier and more enjoyable photographing the parade spectators than the parade!

It’s hard to believe that Ireland can be warm and roasting given the cold winds that blow around this time of year but back in June last year we had a heat wave. I can’t stand the heat of the sun, and by the looks of things, this gentleman isn’t too fond of it either.

The smiling attractive face of a model appeared on the hoarding surrounding the building site that is Dunnes Stores in Cork several months ago. It hasn’t had much of an effect on all however.

Dunnes Stores in the centre of Cork City is being rebuilt as part of a major development. This is the first in a series of photos I’ll publish over the next few days. This was taken very close to this photo shot about 10 months before!
