I’m delighted with my grasp of Irish having stopped studying it 21 years ago! I thought that the weather was reason enough to endure the crowds and the kids were able to take turns on my shoulders. The normal run of events is having someone’s umbrella obscure your view while water from the offending umbrella drips down your neck and the lazy wind would rather go through you than around you.
