31 - Curiousity

Dogs can be curious too!

30 - All good stuff

Is chocolate bad and contain calories if it’s all organic and good and pure and sold in a homely fashion? Go on, you know you want some!
Yummy looking chocolate brownies for sale at a stall during the St Patrick’s Festival Cork 2006!

29 - 46 stars and lots of stripes

How long ago was the United States made up of 46 states? According to this site it was 1908! This flag may date back to that time because it was brought back from there by my grandfather in 1929 or the early 1930’s.

I must say thanks to my Uncle Ray for bringing that flag along to a family get-together tonight!

29 - Fun on a monocycle

A street performer climbs onto his monocycle during the St Patrick’s Festival 2006.
I love the second picture here. It shows just how crazy he was as he got the crowd cheering and enthusing about his act.

28 - Hangers on

Clothes hang unnoticed amid the crowds and stalls down Academy Street Cork during the St Patrick’s Festival on March 18th 2006!

27 - Joe, the Devil and an Angel

Joe was a simple man. He is like most of us haunted by his own devils but also protected by an angel by his side.
In this street drama Joe was continually tempted by the devil, but then he found a small bird lying dead on the ground. What will he do? Leave it there for someone to walk on or a car to roll over or bury it with some dignity?
Thankfully Joe’s Angel gained the upper hand and with some ceremony Joe buried the poor bird in a nearby bin.

26 - Photography Feeds on WordPress.com

One of the cool things to come out of WordPress.com has been global tags. Everyone who writes articles and posts categorises them in the normal way, but the magic bit is that these posts don’t remain in isolation. They’re added to the tags pool on WordPress.com! Go check out that page now to see what people on the site are talking about.
Even better for us RSS fans, Matt announced this morning that he has created feeds from those tags! I subscribed to the photography and photos feeds immediately, and that’s only the start of it. There are gimp and photoshop tags and a lot more. Just add the keyword to the end of http://wordpress.com/tags/ to sample what people have written. The RSS feed link is at the bottom of the page.
Thanks Matt, now take Sunday off! You deserve a break!

26 - The French Soap Seller

One of the stalls at the St. Patrick’s Festival Market sold perfumed soaps and other crafts. This French gentleman owned the stall and cheerfully told us that he’d be travelling the country until his stock ran out, at which point he’d return home and have to do household chores for his wife!
I think he enjoyed life on the road.

25 - Chocolate Lollies

Who can resist chocolate? Feast your eyes on this stall at the St. Patrick’s Festival Cork!

24 - A riot of colour from Peru

One of the more colourful stalls at the open air market during the St Patrick’s Festival in Cork!
