Socially Distanced Fishing
Fishing off Ballycotton Pier, September 2020.
Dunquin Pier
Dunquin Pier, or Cé Dún Chaoin, in Co Kerry where boats to the Blasket Islands depart from. Beautiful location in the summer but right about now it’ll be a lot less hospitable. Moments before I took this photo, three girls were taking selfies and posing for photos sitting on the edge of the cliff here….
Who’d love some winter sun?
Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. December 2019. A lifetime ago.
2m at the train station
These social distancing indicators are a sign of the times in 2020 and 2021. Something that anyone from any country would now recognise.
The trees on the horizon
Behind Long Strand in Co Cork, in late December. Awful weather. Cold, blustery, but there’s a great fish & chips there called The Fish Basket.
Galley Head Sky
The setting sun hid behind clouds near Galley Head last December.
A light snow in Blarney
It snowed for about half an hour this morning. Ironically, the country could do with a heavy snow to encourage less travel.
A Blarney Sunrise
The sun rises over the houses of Shamrock Terrace in Blarney, late November 2020.
Look up at Trees
Blarney Castle Gardens, November 2020.
Unwrap the Building
The new Windsor Hotel on McCurtain Street was still wrapped up last October when I took this photo of the building.
