Red and white light trails
More light trails from passing traffic in Malaga. It was a nice warm night. I was listening to the Shakespeare episode of the Short History Of podcast. Good memories.
Light trails and Christmas lights
There’s a four lane highway through Malaga but in December and January they have great decorations over the street. The perfect time to take some long exposure shots of passing traffic!
The Cathedral and the Ferris Wheel
Saint Fin Barre’s Cathedral seen in the background behind the Ferris Wheel on Grand Parade in Cork.
The Ferris Wheel through the Crystall Ball
As seen in a previous photo of the Ferris Wheel on the Grand Parade in Cork, the crystall ball that Henry brought along was a very useful prop. Here we are at the top of the car park looking down on the big wheel. It surrounds the crystal ball, but the wheel itself can be…
Seeing Double
Two for the price of one! The Ferris Wheel on Grand Parade has grown a twin! Thanks, Henry, for the inspiration. Here is his double photo.
Lights along the Lee
Lights along the River Lee a couple of weeks ago when I joined Henry and Vivien for some photography. Henry got a fabulous shot of the wheel. I’ll be posting some more shots of this over the next few days.
The Lights of the Samuel Beckett Bridge
The Samuel Beckett Bridge in Dublin and the lights of the Convention Centre Dublin fight for attention. Red and Green lights reflect off the River Liffey on a warm October evening earlier this year.
Nollaig Shona ó Chorcaigh
The “Nollaig Shona Duit” signs at both ends of St. Patrick’s Street in Cork are all lit up again this year.
The Ferris Wheel and the Crystal Ball
The Ferris wheel on Grand Parade in Cork on a freezing December evening. The whole scene is twisted upside down in a small crystal ball. Thanks Henry for all the help, and the crystal ball!
At the Speed of Light
Cars passing over the Michael Collins Bridge in Cork produce light trails in the fog.
Tivoli Docks at Night
Tivoli Docks on the River Lee as seen from The Marina in Blackrock in January 2020.
The Lights of Llafranc
The lights of Llafranc in Spain shine brightly near 1am in the morning after a wedding ceremony in a nearby hotel. Swimming there was a highlight of the year for me. Lovely calm and warm waters. As it’s the Mediterranean, there was barely any tide, so you could be sure how much beach was there…
