Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. December 2019. A lifetime ago.

Lanzarote Airport sits right by the coast. There’s a beach at one end of the runway where you can get great photos of the landing planes. I wonder what the pilots think of the onlookers watching at this dangerous stage of a flight?
