Academy Street, as it was back in August this year. Construction work has finished since. I wonder if it’ll ever start up again? Aperture ƒ/4 Camera Canon EOS 40D Focal length 21mm ISO 100 Shutter speed 1/1250s
St Mary’s Cathedral, Killarney in the background. We walked around the town a few weeks back but I didn’t have time to get down to the Cathedral this time. Still impressive, even from this distance. I wonder if “Tim O’Brien & Sons Furniture Carpets” is online anywhere?
First of all Virgin Megastore was sold off to Zavvi and shortly afterwards they had a liquidation sale and went under. Now Director’s Cut are in there and it’s a depressing store. The Woodford on Patrick’s Street Cork closed some time ago. Shame really as it was a nice pub. Aperture ƒ/7.1 Camera Canon EOS 40D Focal length 21mm ISO 400 Shutter speed 1/100s
I always the this bridge as “The Viaduct”, but it’s actually named the Chetwynd Viaduct. Here’s the view from a my flight home a few weeks as it came in to land at Cork Airport. Aperture ƒ/6.3 Camera Canon EOS 40D Focal length 200mm ISO 100 Shutter speed 1/100s
It’s wonderful how some of the old buildings in Cork are preserved while all around them their neighbours are demolished and shiny new edifices rise. This one is of course on Emmett Place.
Another (and final) shot of the roof in the Sanctuaire de Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré in Quebec, Canada. I will post more from this church but this is the final shot of the main roof. Love the intricate design. Aperture ƒ/8 Camera Canon EOS 40D Focal length 10mm ISO 100 Shutter speed 2.5s
