A tourist stares

A woman stares at the tram I'm travelling on, unaware that I'm taking her photo. She is dressed warmly as it is November, and even in Lisbon it gets chilly.

The Atlantic Pond in Reflection

Trees are reflected in the water of the Atlantic Pond in Cork. The water is very still, and a clear blue sky is unblemished by clouds.

I love walking by the Marina and sometimes walking around the Atlantic Pond. Most of the water was deliciously calm this afternoon when I visited.

After photographing the National Space Centre on a dark January evening I turned around and spotted this silhouette. Luckily, there wasn’t much of a wind blowing, but we were lucky. A chill wind blew in a few minutes later.

The Idle Hour on Albert Quay

Various buildings on Albert Quay in Cork are reflected in the River Lee one early morning just after sunrise when the sky is coloured by the rising the sun.

Well, the Idle Hour, Navigation Square, 1 Albert Quay and the other pubs along Victoria Road.

This was taken one morning early, just after the sun rose. I’ve taken this photo a few times over the years and I love the reflection in the River Lee, at high tide, like the buildings are floating at sea.

Long shadows at sunset

Flowers of the Eiffel Tower

The EIffel Tower in the distance while at ground level are lovely flowers and plants.

When you visit the Eiffel Tower, you’ll see the massive Jardin de la Tour Eiffel stretch off into the distance. In warm weather, the gardens are thronged with people in the evenings who gather to watch the Eiffel Tower light up.

This photo was shot on one such evening. The night was calm, and warm and it was lovely to be out.

An entertaining dog

A little doggy in her coat

A small white dog with a coat on looking at the camera. Her owner has him on a pink lead. Her owners' foot and leg are also visible, and they're standing in front of a jeweller's shop.

I don’t remember what this dog’s name was, but she was so cute I asked her human dad if I could photograph her. No petting was allowed as she is the typical small dog and isn’t fond of strangers rubbing her. Not surprising really. Would you like giants rubbing your head?
