The gull fight
Gulls fight over a few crumbs of bread at the Lough in Cork. Taken during a photowalk there last year.
R&H Hall
The huge bulk of R&H Hall can be seen for miles around, as telecoms companies noticed too when they planted their dishes and aerials on top of the building. It’s a prominent building in Cork Docklands, and surprisingly, I’ve only posted photos of it once before, when it was on fire 3 years ago. I…
Waterford Glass
It’s funny the things that catch your eye. On a corner on Patrick’s Street there are these 3 signs: “Seiko”, “Waterford Glass” and “HMV”.
Haircut, pint and hangover pills
So, start off in the College of Hairdressing to tighten up that stylish hair of yours, then off to the “Hi B” for a pint (but turn your mobile phone off!) and then downstairs to Minihan’s Pharmacy for the Alkazelser. Actually, I don’t like the Hi B. Any pub owner who verbally attacks his customers…
Samskip Pioneer
Samskip Pioneer, a container ship, docked in Cork last weekend. We were down by the Marina in Blackrock on a blistering hot Saturday. While us Irish sat in the shade, Spanish students sat out in the 3pm sun, some wearing long sleeve tshirts! I know, I know, they’re used to the heat but the mind…

C386, a fishing boat in Kinsale, photographed just over a year ago.
Youghal Post Office
A disused post box near the beach in Youghal, County Cork.
Ford Anglia
A Ford Anglia at the vintage car meetup where I shot the Mustang and other cars a while back.
The Big Slide
In Fitzgerald’s Park a week ago the Street Performance World Championship 2009 brought the crowds to the park. This multi story slide was one of the main attractions. Huge long queue for it though.
Sean Og
One of the boats at Kilkee Beach, County Clare.
Emergency at Kilkee Beach
The lifeboat at Kilkee is stored at the top of this ramp going down to the water at the beach. At low tide it’s quite a distance and the wide angle makes a great job of getting it all in! Those two dots on the beach are my family! 🙂
Daly’s Bridge
Daly’s Bridge over the River Lee, or The Shakey Bridge is it’s locally. Shot on the way back to the car after SPWC on Sunday. This is the bridge that David Rowell & Co built!
