Hot Tasty Sausages
While out photowalking a hot sausages in a bun with a dab of mustard is just the thing to keep the hunger at bay. I bought the sausage in the bun being prepared above and totally enjoyed it, even if it was €4. Shot on Cornmarket Street at the Crepe Man stall during the pre-Irish…
Old Style Car
These old style cars were all the rage for about 5 minutes a few years ago weren’t they? Pictured in Kinsale, Co Cork on a hot Summer’s day. PS. my brother Donal got married today. Brilliant day had by all and wedding was really nice!
Suffering in the heat
It’s hard to believe that Ireland can be warm and roasting given the cold winds that blow around this time of year but back in June last year we had a heat wave. I can’t stand the heat of the sun, and by the looks of things, this gentleman isn’t too fond of it either.
Romans Walk
Someone stole their chariots.
Shandon Bells
The clock tower of St. Anne’s Church in Shandon is more well known as “Shandon Bells” after the bells that ring out there through out the day. We were so lucky with the weather on Saturday on our little photowalk. Wasn’t it Aidan’s idea to head up to Shandon? Inspired! Everyone had a great time….

This is the junction in front of Emmett Place in Cork. Visible are the Cork Opera House and the cranes in the distance. WordPress…
Innards of the Building
The old Dunnes Stores building on Patrick’s Street in Cork is keeping it’s old style and attractive front facade. Phew. I still think it’s odd how a building site juts out behind it though. PS. The nominations form for the Irish Blog Awards is now open. If you feel it deserves it, I’d be very…
Gavin
Dunnes Stores in the centre of Cork City is being rebuilt as part of a major development. This is the first in a series of photos I’ll publish over the next few days. This was taken very close to this photo shot about 10 months before!
Singing
One of the carol singers featured a few days ago singing her heart out on Patrick’s Street, Cork.
Always Asking
Castle Street, Cork.
Idle Machinery
Cranes towering over Cork City sit idle as the sun sets on a late October day in 2008. I suspect this scene will become more rare as the recession bites.
