Shandon from the Dunnes Stores restaurant

Photos
The tower of St Anne's Church, Shandon, in black and white, seen above the rooftops of Cork with the salmon weathervane on top of its dome, two of the four clock faces visible on the tower, the word MANGAN in small letters below the hands of the left-hand dial, a smaller church tower and trees on the left, and a flat overcast sky behind.

The best view of Shandon in the city centre is from the restaurant upstairs in Dunnes Stores on St Patrick’s Street, above the trays and the tea urns. I stared out the window, above the building site that is the Crawford Gallery.
