Low Cloud Over Dingle

·

Low clouds lay over Dingle town on Friday evening but while it wasn’t the most exciting light, it had a lovely even light without deep shadows. It was a quiet evening with only a few people out walking their dogs and even a couple of tourists!

@donncha Brilliant photo! Too bad about the truck.

@beckett Yeah, those enormous monsters are becoming more common here. Hopefully, that one at least is being used by a fisherman in Dingle and not by some rich person to bring the kids to school in.

@donncha Time to visit the distillery at the slea hd dr. (Don”t forget to get a sticker with “I did the slea hd totally drunk” and put it on your car).

@bitchboss haha, yeah. It's great. I got some great photos at Clogher Beach and at Cappagh. Too many of the storm that was hitting the coast so I need to decide on a couple from the hundreds I have!

@donncha Nice photo, by the way. Typical Irish weather. That’s where I crashed my left hand mirror, because a bus full of yanks was squeezing trough. I visited Dingle a few years ago after racing on Inch beach and my late husband had to get a few bottles and fish and chips in Dingle. At the end of the day we ended up in Tralee, I put the sticker “I survived the slea hd” on our car and also wrote on it “and I wrecked only one mirror!”.Not bad for a Dutch chick aye?

@bitchboss aww, a memorable visit then! There's a great chipper near SuperValu we frequented a few times but this time we are on The Dingle Bay Hotel where we were staying with Blarney Photography Club. Do you remember where you got your food?

@donncha We had lunch at the Marina Inn, just near the tourist information office. It was Saturday and it was absolutely heaving. We had to park at The Woods, but it was a lovely walk back to the harbour. After that, we headed west, bought a couple of bottles of Dingle whisky and drove to Dunmore Head.

@bitchboss I remember that place! We walked in there a different time, it was of course heaving as you said, and walked out again.

@donncha We sat outside in front of it. It was hot. Too hot to be inside and we were serviced quite quickly by a friendly crew. A nice photo of somewhere in the Backvalley area…

@donncha I can’t stand them. They’re marketed as status symbols. So dangerous.
