It was my first time visiting Harper’s Island and unfortunately no birds came anywhere near any of the hides, but I loved to see flocks of birds swoop through the air in synchronised flight.

@donncha Single shot or stacked? It looks stacked as they move and there are a series of the same bird almost overlapping in a few points in the photo. It’s a great photo. Or a very fast sequence..
@HarriettMB It's a single image, burst mode, so there's about five very similar photos. I think this was at about 600mm. They were maybe 200m away. :(Must go down there again though. It was nice.
@donncha Thanks. I’m going to photograph murmuration for three days next week. Planning to try a few different ways to get the photos. Will also have two days in different hides. Very different kind of photography.
