Above us was the modern Blackfriars Railway Bridge, and of course off in the distance is the London skyline.

    @HarriettMB that's right! One of my friends I was with found a small piece of ceramic pipe. Google Lens said it might be from the 16th or 17th century I think. Apparently they're very common.
