It’s a commonly held belief that Americans don’t know how to drive around roundabouts, but when I visited that country last year (in the before times), I saw at least 2 roundabouts and local people had no problems traversing them.
Good luck getting around them in a monstrosity like the Cybertruck however.

@donncha They are far more common in the eastern US and than in the west.
@danielpunkass @donncha There are quire a few circles, as they are called here, in Warwick, RI (Eastern US). The traffic flows majestically well and folks are very adept at navigating the “circles.” Far better than having four way stops signs or four way traffic lights.

@donncha I love roundabouts, always have. They are becoming more common here. They are so much better than stoplights. Folks are used to them in this part of the state.

@donncha mostly the South, as someone from the South. the amount of bitching and moaning from people when a single roundabout was built in the “city” closest to my town was truly wild. and those roads that were replaced/merged were so dangerous, wrecks happened there all the time, but they were still mad. ???
@donncha I forgot you guys are lefties.I remember talking to an Irish friend of mine and explaining how they did the switch one early morning in Sweden. He suggested a gradual switch starting with lorries and big buses. (:
@donncha That certainly used to be the case, but we have several now in the county where I live, and they are great! You just have to be careful.
