That is weird. I’ll take a look at the database and see what character is recorded. It might be something to do with this theme, or the character encoding, perhaps.

Perhaps could be to do with me commenting via Jetpack (using SwiftKey emoji)?

That worked as well as can be expected. The four emojis I commented with show as question marks.
