If you’re adventurous or just have strong legs you can climb the many steps to the top of the hill overlooking the Montmorency Falls.
I climbed the steps with a few of the other Automattic guys and took in the breathtaking view over the St. Lawrence River up to Quebec City. Add to that the thunder of the nearby falls and it was well worth the climb.

Awesome in black and white. Hope you post more over the next few weeks.
Thanks Ron! Yes, I have quite a few more photos from Quebec and from around that waterfall. It’s an area perfect for an over enthusiastic photographer 🙂
Looks like something from a Japanese WWII POW camp (in my minds eye)
great shot
I thought that too when I was working on it. A bit creepy possibly. In colour it looks much more benign.
those steps are better than a workout at the gym, love the black and white, it does look like something out of WW2
Don’t I know it! There’s another smaller waterfall close to where we were staying. There are steps next to this that are really steep. Those were a workout. I had to stop every 10m or so to let my knees recover and catch my breath. Torture!
