The Flowers of Fuchsia

Fuchsia flowers in my dad’s back garden.

I’ve tried to photograph fuchsia plants many times but the flowers are so delicate that any sort of breeze will set them shaking. I took this photo with the Canon 50mm resulting in a very fast shot and thankfully the lack of wind helped too!

(Posting this so “early” in the day because I’m debugging a supercache bug, must revert that “not logged in” message.)

Aperture ƒ/1.8
Camera Canon EOS 40D
Focal length 50mm
ISO 100
Shutter speed 1/200s

  1. My wife and I love the fushia and all the different colors and what seems to be different dresses they wear!! The first that we saw appeared to be ballareinas with their tutus doing I guess a peeroette (not sure of the spelling). We would love to see more pictures if and when you post them. Thank you so much.
