The Cliffs of Moher

The Cliffs of Moher

The Cliffs of Moher, majestic cliffs in County Clare looking out on the Atlantic Ocean. 7UP are part of the campaign to name the cliffs as one of the new 7 natural wonders of the world. You’ve probably seen the crazy adverts!

It was a really miserable day when we got there. Shooting was really difficult but it was great to finally see the cliffs.

Aperture ƒ/8

I’m from 15 miles down the road, and I have to admit, I’m still blown away every time I see them!

Nice shot, given the conditions, although hard to judge the sheer scale of the cliffs from it!

Galway town?
Googlemaps says it’s 82.6 km from there to the COM and estimates it at taking 1 hour 24 minutes.
The N67, which takes you most of the way, is an okay road but if you want to take any back roads, it’ll take much longer. The Cliffs are also an extremely popular spot so bear that in mind – it’ll take longer on, say, a bank holiday. Also, if you get stuck behind one of the 8,000 coaches heading there from Galway and wherever, that can slow you up greatly (and they go there every day!). Also, factor in a bit of time to get across town in Galway in case there’s traffic.
If you stick to the speed limit, 1 hr 40 ought to do the trick, I’d say.

EDIT: I know Orla C… it’s a quote from a song :o)
Regards,liko
