Fishing tackle, nets, and even a gas cylinder rest against a wall near Allihies Beach in West Cork.
I saw all this stuff just sitting there, looking all out of place in a field.

Hi Donncha,
I never realised fishing baskets were so colourful.
Thanks Grannymar! It was a nice surprise to find them in that field. Could be still there I guess, but I won’t be going anywhere near there for quite a while again. Too long a drive for a day trip unfortunately.
Hi Donncha
Colours work nice in contrast with the sky 🙂
I’ll be passing through Allihies tomorrow, so maybe I’ll be able to locate the baskets as well. Cheers!
Nice. Donncha, for some reason my photos aren’t appearing on http://irishphotographers.org/, only some kind of placeholder – did I do something wrong??
Wish i was on top of the basket when i got layed.
Hi,
I agree with you all that fishing tackle, nets, and even a gas cylinder are so colorful. And with a little bit of creativity we can create another thing from them.
Cheers,
Joseph Adams
Love the pictures – especially the ones of beach areas – seems you have a nack for capturing the wave action. Just beautiful. Thanks for the great work.
