Skibbereen or Hospital

A sign in the foreground of the main square in Bantry, Co. Cork. We went to Ahakista eventually!

This is made from one exposure but I had this great looking sky and underexposed buildings and ground detail. To get an even exposure I split the photo using two layers and adjusted the exposure in each accordingly. I’m very happy with my work on this one!

Aperture ƒ/14
Camera Canon EOS 20D
Focal length 10mm

  1. First of all, I love this wide angle view…it’s a lot of fun. Secondly, that is amazing that you can do the pping that you were able to do to salvage the image. Nice job, it looks awesome!

  2. Excellent pic. Reminds me of the great sign in Skibbereen that has the locals up in arms. It says “Killarney” on one line and “Town Centre” on the line below. The locals believe this will confuse tourists who think they are being pointed towards “Killarney Town Centre”. The council has told them that the sign stays and to get a clue!
