Excellent! I love surreal shots like this. It needed a big DOF and you delivered
Surprised the lens was only at 80mm though, the scene seems a lot more “pulled together” for such a short length. I guess it must have been that impressive in reality as well 
Seeing that impressiveimage I’m thinking of the dark clouds of recession and the return of Cunard to an emigrant port…
Thanks guys! I screwed up the transition from sky to ground a bit near the horizon but I simply don’t have time to make it any better.
I just realized, the tide was out, lowering the ship down at least 2m. It would really have loomed over the town if the tide was in!
Just wanted to say how much I’ve enjoyed this whole series of QE2 pics. What a fantastic photographic opportunity, and you took great advantage of it!
