We went for a lovely lunch in Oz Haven in Oysterhaven yesterday afternoon. Wow, what a meal!
I started with Clonakilty black and white pudding flavoured with exotic spices, a steak for the main course, and a delicious chocolate cake with orange sauce for dessert. I’m getting hungry again just thinking about it!
Paul Greer and his staff are great and I heartily recommend a visit here! Sunday lunch is around 26 Euro per person which is very reasonable considering the quality of the food. Ring them on 021 477 0974 and book a table now!
(No, I’m not being paid for this, but Paul’s a great host and we enjoyed our meal!)

I don’t know, your blogging integrity is at risk with this shameless advertising. I like the way you say that dinner costs about €26 per person, how come you don’t know exactly? Huh?
I haven’t been down that neck of the woods for years, the last time would have been when we went down to go canoeing or something a long time back.

Clonakilty is nice. I’ve been down like 4 times because my Dad’s obsessed with it. Lol.
You’ve made me hungry too, & I’ve already had dinner. ![]()

Clonakilty has such a poetic sound, I’m going to have to look it up if only for that. Like “Mullagatawny” - - far less Irish than it sounds!
I got hungry just reading the post, so I can only imagine how it is to reminisce!

I really like this shot, your perspective, color of windows and the weeds growing on side of the building.

Oz Haven is up for sale I believe - perhaps they’ll keep the chef though!
I go to Oysterhaven all the time (my in-laws have a cottage there) but have never eaten in this restaraunt. Good ones in Kinsale though.
