Autumn Leaves

Hues of gold and brown greet the eye in Burham Beeches. Yes I know it’s technically winter but autumn is always associated with falling leaves, while winter is cold and snow falls instead, so please humour me!

I do have a couple of other shots of yesterday’s Burnham Beeches photo but I’ll leave those until later in the year.

It’s not technically winter in Burnham Beeches mate. I’m pretty sure winter starts in December over here, so don’t worry! Cracking series of photos, BTW.

Wonderful photo. Thanks for sharing. The neighbors here aren’t into raking, and about 50 pounds of leaves now live in my yard. Wet and ugly, now unfortunately.

They look so much better on the tree, don’t they?

I love the sheer enormity of this one. The leaves look like they’re stretching on forever.

Donncha, over here apparently winter starts in December as Matt said. We have had a few discussions about it – according to Matt and his relatives we got married in summer but according to me we got married in the autumn! I had the same discussion with English work mates. Maybe its because they don’t get their school summer hols until end of July.

Great, I didn’t know about the autumn/winter difference! Bit odd, but who am I to complain when it suits the title of my post! 🙂

    Hello,
this may sound strange but can I please use this photo on my schoolproject? I’m becoming a theatrecostume designer and made a costume for kind of a modern fallen angel. I’d love to photoshop the costume laying on these leaves, the picture is so beautiful. It would be for my own use only.

Sure, if you do anything with it can you put it online somewhere so I can link to it from this post?

    Hi,
I wonder if I could use a section of this for some publicity I’m doing for a tree surgeon? Lovely hues & all Beech leaves!

    Thanks
