We arrived in Girona on a blisteringly hot day. The temperature display in the car said 39C. We had to park in an area without shade, but whenever we could, we walked in the welcome shade of the buildings of this beautiful Spanish city.

Walking across a bridge in Chicago I noticed all the bikes that were thrown up on the railing next to the river. As good a place as any if there’s no decent bike parking to be had nearby.
