A break from the guitar
A man takes a break from playing the guitar on Winthrop Street, Cork. It was July 2019, so probably warm and maybe humid, so his bare feet won’t have been cold.
Chatting to the bus driver
I was walking along the street and noticed this man, standing by the door of a bus. I think it was stopped at traffic lights. Did you notice he’s being watched by another bus driver?
Construction Cranes on Horgan’s Quay
Back in 2019, and Horgan’s Quay was in the middle of development. Cranes were overhead, and the whole place was a building site.
Skateboard Jumps on Grand Parade
A skateboarder jumps in the air on Grand Parade. He was there with friends, racing up and down the pavement.
Construction in the Port of Cork
The Port of Cork sign looms overhead. I’m not sure what work is being done down there with all the construction equipment.
Giant Bubbles in London
Away back in 2016, when the Rebel Street Photography group when to London for the day we passed by this man creating huge bubbles. Adults and kids alike were entertained!
The dog in the doorway
A dog sits in the doorway of a house, looking out at anyone passing and enjoying the evening sun.
Surreal Flowers in Dublin
A woman stands next to a display of flowers for sale in Dublin last October. I played with the colours here a little. A bit of fun on an image that was too noisy, and too dark.
The Eye Sees All
This graffiti caught my eye when I walked past. It was on the corner of Barrack Street and Fort Street in Cork. The eye sees you and the man screams at you. It’s long gone now, this photo was made in 2019!
The Ice Cream Line
Parents line up for the ice cream van outside Fitzgerald’s Park in Cork. Their kids are somewhere nearby, out of sight behind the wall.
In the future we won’t talk at all
We just tap tap tap on the screens to order. The man watching me take the photo never said a word either. It was Halloween, did you notice the horns on her head?
Prepping for a 70th birthday
Two women carrying balloons and a large fake champagne bottle up the steps of a narrow lane. Bet they had a party that night!
