An entertaining dog
There are lots of little dogs around Cork City these days, and they wear cute little coats against the rain and cold.
Lost in Paris
A long figure seems lost in the courtyard of the Panthéon in Paris, while another sits on a rock bench lost in a book. An actual, honest to goodness, paper book.
A little doggy in her coat
I don’t remember what this dog’s name was, but she was so cute I asked her human dad if I could photograph her. No petting was allowed as she is the typical small dog and isn’t fond of strangers rubbing her. Not surprising really. Would you like giants rubbing your head?
Alone in the crowd
Momentarily alone in a crowd at the Dingle Races a few years ago.
Yes, it is very long
The trailer of a lorry in Piper’s, Crosshaven. Not much activity happening there, but I liked this image.
Making Plans in London
A woman, deep in thought, wondering what she’ll buy at a market in London a few years ago. I only noticed she had her glasses sitting on her head. Ingenious! I hate wearing sunglasses while walking, as I have to replace them with my glasses when I go somewhere dark.
Property of Pipers
There’s no parking in front of La Scala in Crosshaven, and the no parking signs belong to Pipers. This time of year, Piper’s is fairly quiet, but hopefully in the summer they’ll be open again and busy.
Tools you need
Sometimes, all you need is love. Sometimes you need tools to do household repairs.
Feb 24th Pro Palestinian Rally
Today saw the biggest rally supporting Palestinians happen in Cork this afternoon. Groups from all over Munster descended on the city and the rally walked down St. Patrick’s Street, chanting and singing. They doubled back through Winthrop Street and back up Oliver Plunkett Street before assembling in the Grand Parade for a number of speakers…
A gift of colour
I was walking up the street behind a man dressed in blue and this photo presented itself to me. Pink and blue and a man in a baseball cap. All gone within seconds.
The interesting shop
Down a side street in Valencia I spotted five ladies looking in the windows of a tourist shop selling T-shirts, fridge magnets, kitchen towels, bags and all sorts of other knick-knacks.
Bright clothes on a dull day
It was lovely seeing people dressed in bright clothes last Saturday when it was overcast and fairly dull outside. Yellow, pink and green made a nice change from the mostly muted colours other people wore.
