A selfie with the Eiffel Tower

A woman poses for a selfie in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. There’s rain in the air and others are sheltering under umbrellas. I have my camera out on a tripod to take photos, of course!

Shandon Bells and Houses

Shandon Bells, seen from a slightly different perspective than the one at Bell’s Field we’re used to. It’s surrounded by houses and roads, and even by the nearby brewery, of which you can see a small portion of in this photo.

The National Space Centre at night

A few of us visited the National Space Centre in Elfordstown in Co. Cork the other night to make some photos, and maybe photograph the Aurora if possible.

No sign of the aurora, but the Space Center is a sight to see itself.

Thanks Henry, for organising the trip! Check out his amazing photo of the location.

Sweep away the old year

2023 is almost over here in Ireland. How’s 2024 in Australia? Let’s say goodbye to what has been a mixed year and hope for a better 2024.

Happy new year!

Edit a short while later: I shouldn’t have asked about Australia. They’re suffering from a terrible heatwave of 49.5℃!

Lionel Richie hates this one trick

There’s no ceiling on this building. For the younger reader, watch. 🙂

This long derelict building in Skibereen is an unfortunate eyesore that’s surrounded by a lively town, and shops and buildings decorated for the Christmas season. It stands opposite the entrance to the lovely Abbeystrewry Church and nearby Aldi.

I went back in time through Google Street View, and it has been abandoned and derelict since at least 2009! What a waste.
