Dogs of the Protest Rally
Two of the dogs at the regular rally supporting Gaza that happened in Cork yesterday. Another large crowd gathered, but these dogs weren’t bothered by the noise and people around.
The Fiery Red Tree
Atop a high stone tower in Clogheenmilcon Sanctuary Walk, near Blarney, is a sculpture of a tree. It was created by sculptor, Don Cronin and is impossible to miss if you’re walking in the sanctuary. This was taken last night when temperatures had dropped to -4.5ΒΊC. I didn’t stay out very long, but braver souls…
The Lilac Hat on Tour
A tour group in Malaga listens to a tour guide talk outside the cathedral. I liked the colour of the lilac hat in the foreground.
Missing the Sights
Mobile phones are handy, but you miss the world if you’re looking at them. My wife will laugh when she sees me say this.
The Dragon Awakens
The Dragon of Shandon was all ready to travel through Cork City. It was waiting just down the street from Shandon Bells. Raaaarrrrr!
Don’t look back
A woman on her phone looks over her shoulder at some commotion, off camera, that has caught her attention. We’ll never know what.

A few of us visited the National Space Centre in Elfordstown in Co. Cork the other night to make some photos, and maybe photograph the Aurora if possible. No sign of the aurora, but the Space Center is a sight to see itself. Thanks Henry, for organising the trip! Check out his amazing photo of…
Hungry for Ramen
The very colourful Buga Ramen in Valencia is eye catching. The food is really nice there too, but you might have to wait at busy times!
An umbrella in the rain
Sometimes all you need is an umbrella. When it’s raining, it’s the best thing.
The Lights to the Church
Christmas lights line a wall heading to Abbeystrewry Church in Skibereen, Co Cork. Brightening up a dull, overcast, day with a cheery glow.
Lionel Richie hates this one trick
There’s no ceiling on this building. For the younger reader, watch. π This long derelict building in Skibereen is an unfortunate eyesore that’s surrounded by a lively town, and shops and buildings decorated for the Christmas season. It stands opposite the entrance to the lovely Abbeystrewry Church and nearby Aldi. I went back in time…
The Blue Tuk Tuk
A blue tuk tuk driving along in front of the blue Court of Appeal of Lisbon in Portugal. I wonder how comfortable they are on those cobbles?
