I’ll have a pint

At the bar of a pub in a hotel. The taps that pour the drinks are labelled with the brands of the drinks offered. Carslberg, Rockshore, Smithwicks, Guinness, Birramoretti, Coors, Heineken, Murphys.

If you want a drink, there’s plenty of choice in Irish pubs. The taps above include Carslberg, Rockshore, Smithwicks, Guinness, Birramoretti, Coors, Heineken, and Murphys.

The interesting shop

Five women look in a shop call MI FLAMENCA through two separate windows at the tourist knick knacks for sale. They're maybe unaware of each other as they are separated by a corner. A postbox sits at the corner, waiting for postcards home.

Down a side street in Valencia I spotted five ladies looking in the windows of a tourist shop selling T-shirts, fridge magnets, kitchen towels, bags and all sorts of other knick-knacks.

Smile for the camera

So many steps

Looking down the steps of the Escadinhas Damasceno Monteiro in Lisbon. Fish graffiti adorn the walls of a nearby home.

The steps at the bottom of the Escadinhas Damasceno Monteiro in Lisbon. Beautiful butterfly graffiti and a crudely written "FREE PALESTINE" on the wall.

The city of Lisbon is infamous for its hills, and the Escadinhas Damasceno Monteiro is a fine example. It is down the street from where we were staying. It’s got lots of steps. So many steps.

It’s for me’o!

The Fiery Red Tree

A sculpture of a tree sits atop a high stone tower, with a starry sky behind.

Atop a high stone tower in Clogheenmilcon Sanctuary Walk, near Blarney, is a sculpture of a tree. It was created by sculptor, Don Cronin and is impossible to miss if you’re walking in the sanctuary.

This was taken last night when temperatures had dropped to -4.5ºC. I didn’t stay out very long, but braver souls from Blarney Photography Club did!

The Lilac Hat on Tour

Missing the Sights
