So many steps

The steps at the bottom of the Escadinhas Damasceno Monteiro in Lisbon. Beautiful butterfly graffiti and a crudely written "FREE PALESTINE" on the wall.

The city of Lisbon is infamous for its hills, and the Escadinhas Damasceno Monteiro is a fine example. It is down the street from where we were staying. It’s got lots of steps. So many steps.

It’s for me’o!

It’s still cold, but following up on my recent photo outside a gelato shop, here’s another one, on the corner of Patrick’s Street and Winthrop Street in Cork.

I love ice cream too, but maybe not enough to eat it on a cold wintery day, outside!

Dogs of the Protest Rally

A white golden retriever wearing a jacket made of the flag of Palestine. He is resting his head on a block on the street.
People are standing in the background.
A golden retriever looking directly at the camera. He is wearing the flag of Palestine. People are standing in the background.
A golden retriever sitting next to his human family watching the Gaza rally in Cork yesterday. The dog is wearing the Palestinian flag.
A woman is visible in the background, as is a small van and buildings.

Two of the dogs at the regular rally supporting Gaza that happened in Cork yesterday. Another large crowd gathered, but these dogs weren’t bothered by the noise and people around.

The Fiery Red Tree

Atop a high stone tower in Clogheenmilcon Sanctuary Walk, near Blarney, is a sculpture of a tree. It was created by sculptor, Don Cronin and is impossible to miss if you’re walking in the sanctuary.

This was taken last night when temperatures had dropped to -4.5ÂșC. I didn’t stay out very long, but braver souls from Blarney Photography Club did!

The National Space Centre at night

A few of us visited the National Space Centre in Elfordstown in Co. Cork the other night to make some photos, and maybe photograph the Aurora if possible.

No sign of the aurora, but the Space Center is a sight to see itself.

Thanks Henry, for organising the trip! Check out his amazing photo of the location.
