At the end of a day of street photography we took the train back to Liverpool Street Station from Oxford Circus. That of course calls for the obligatory long exposure shot of the train coming into the station.

The old railway line to Youghal lies neglected and deserted in this photo I took last November. The sun was setting, and I was almost over Covid 19, but it was a cold evening, and I retreated to the warmth of the car.

Many years ago, in August 2003, I was waiting for the L in Chicago to bring me to work. Edit in 2024: I remembered this was Fullerton from the sign to the far right of the image, so I added it to Google Maps there. It looks like it’s the oldest photo for that station…
