Elevador da Bica from another Tram

One of the trams of the Elevador da Bica photographed by me as I went past in another tram along Largo Calhariz. A famous sight in Lisbon, and I was lucky to catch this photo as we trundled along.

Vineyard Vistas in Portugal

Amidst the stunning scenery of Portugal’s Douro Valley, we found ourselves at Quinta da Roêda, a picturesque vineyard nestled under a breathtaking blue sky. As far as the eye could see, the vines stretched out into the distance, beckoning us to explore further.

A solitary tree stood tall nearby, while on the horizon, two tall, thin evergreens created a natural border against the rolling hills. It was a serene moment, a glimpse into the raw beauty of nature and the splendour of the Douro Valley’s vineyards.

A Room with a View

This barren room overlooking the breathtaking Douro Valley belongs to the Quinta da Roêda vineyard, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Portugal’s wine country. As you step inside, you’ll notice a quaint wooden table and stools, inviting you to sit and take in the stunning view while enjoying a glass of the vineyard’s finest port. But the most curious thing hanging from the ceiling catches your eye: a saddle, giving the room a rustic and adventurous touch. It’s the perfect spot to relax and soak up the vineyard’s charming ambiance.

The Bright Lights of Porto

Exactly 2 years ago in 2019 I was in Porto, Portugal with my team on a company meetup. It’s a beautiful city and I would love to get back there some day! That’s the Torre dos Clérigos in the background.
