Crosshaven Sunset
The town of Crosshaven is reflected in the waters of Cork Harbour while the sun sets off to the side of the town.
Cork Eir Building at Sunset
I was out with Blarney Photography Club on Thursday night in the city. The sun was setting when I decided we should head to Bell’s Field. I thought we had about 30 minutes, but with the hills opposite, the sun sank out of sight much earlier. Driving up there, through St. Luke’s, we got there…
Construction in the Port of Cork
The Port of Cork sign looms overhead. I’m not sure what work is being done down there with all the construction equipment.
Off the horse
A young rider came off his horse during a race at the Dingle Races last August. His horse continued on, but the unlucky rider had to get out of the way of other horses.
Giant Bubbles in London
Away back in 2016, when the Rebel Street Photography group when to London for the day we passed by this man creating huge bubbles. Adults and kids alike were entertained!
The dog in the doorway
A dog sits in the doorway of a house, looking out at anyone passing and enjoying the evening sun.
Someone forgot their tripod
Henry’s tripod made for a nice subject to break up the reflection of the sunset at the beach in Youghal.
Sunset on the Youghal Boardwalk
Just after the sun set over Youghal last Thursday night and someone noticed people walking on the boardwalk.
Sun setting on the Youghal groynes
The sun set on an absolutely clear sky on Thursday night in Youghal. I was there with Blarney Photography Club, and as you may have guessed from the photo, I was wearing wellies. We had fun photographing the outgoing tide, and when the sun eventually slid towards the horizon the reflected colour in the sea…
Diego in his blanket
Diego in his blanket after waking up from a sleep. This is an old photo of him from 2017, but I’m posting it today because he’s at the vet’s office after getting an x-ray. He hasn’t been himself for some time and let out loud yelps from time to time but he was diagnosed with…
Surreal Flowers in Dublin
A woman stands next to a display of flowers for sale in Dublin last October. I played with the colours here a little. A bit of fun on an image that was too noisy, and too dark.
The Eye Sees All
This graffiti caught my eye when I walked past. It was on the corner of Barrack Street and Fort Street in Cork. The eye sees you and the man screams at you. It’s long gone now, this photo was made in 2019!
