How to send flowers to ladies Obviously the gentlemen of Bantry are a polite and courteous bunch. While their women folk are in the public loo an enterprising soul will sell them flowers for their better half!

Ouvane River The Ouvane River runs near Bantry in Co. Cork and in the distance is Carriganass Castle. The weather was terrible when I took this. Showers, cold, wind. How I suffer for my art!

The Lough Daffodils We walked around The Lough and wandered over to the daffodils growing by the footpath at one of the lake. That’s Sean Murphy in the background as he preps some of his equipment to take a shot. Probably my last photo from the Lough Photowalk!

Swans on The Lough Swans swim past on The Lough in Cork City. This was one of the first photos I took at the recent photowalk there. Despite the clear blue sky and lovely light it was quite cold with a biting wind!

Big smile for the Parade! I think it’s safe to say this was the biggest smile of St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2008 for me. Nobody in the crowd was smiling anyway. They were all too squashed in or straining to see over the heads of those in front.

La le Phadraig ar Sraid Phadraig Children look out of an upstairs window in Merchants Quay shopping centre. When I took this shot I didn’t even see them! I was concentrating on the kids in the foreground with their flags. I think they frame the street sign rather nicely and ties in with the name…

A flavour of the St Patrick’s Day festivities and people who attended the Parade in Cork yesterday. Special Olympics Team Some of the Special Olympics Team took part in the parade and as I said yesterday, it was strange to see only them on the street with nobody else about. Everyone cheered them on however…
