Samskip Pioneer
Samskip Pioneer, a container ship, docked in Cork last weekend. We were down by the Marina in Blackrock on a blistering hot Saturday. While us Irish sat in the shade, Spanish students sat out in the 3pm sun, some wearing long sleeve tshirts! I know, I know, they’re used to the heat but the mind…

Pretty in Pink
Beautiful, pretty pink flowers in Fitzgerald’s Park, Cork in July 2007. I already posted a photo of these flowers but this one was sitting in my TODO box for so long it had to see the light of day!
The Big Slide
In Fitzgerald’s Park a week ago the Street Performance World Championship 2009 brought the crowds to the park. This multi story slide was one of the main attractions. Huge long queue for it though.

Emergency at Kilkee Beach
The lifeboat at Kilkee is stored at the top of this ramp going down to the water at the beach. At low tide it’s quite a distance and the wide angle makes a great job of getting it all in! Those two dots on the beach are my family! 🙂
Daly’s Bridge
Daly’s Bridge over the River Lee, or The Shakey Bridge is it’s locally. Shot on the way back to the car after SPWC on Sunday. This is the bridge that David Rowell & Co built!
