Shadows lengthen on Nano Nagle Bridge this afternoon. First time out with Rebel Street Photography, even if it was just two of us after a two year break. It was a lovely day for a walk around town. The sun shone from a blue sky, but in the shadows it was still cool. Catching up…
Parallel to Sullivan’s Quay in Cork, Cove Street is probably less well known than the quays but if you’ve driven around there looking for parking you know it well!
Crosshaven is such a lovely town. I love to visit there, walking along the water front. The sounds of the wind blowing through the boat yard and the clinking of ropes and tackle hitting off masts is ever present. From a distance the town is picturesque, with the spire of the church towering over everything….
The tower of St. Anne’s Church rises above the north side of Cork City with the Eir building and their own tower next to it.
A few more photos of Flash Harry from their September 2021 performance in the Opera House, Cork. They played there recently but I didn’t get to see them. They are a great Queen tribute band however. Go see them if you can! Posting these because I wanted to test out Topaz Denoise on some high…

A robin calling out in the grounds of Blarney Castle today.
Some of the statues that decorate the entrances to St. Fin Barre’s Cathedral in Cork. Taken while we waited for the Cathedral to open so we could hear beautiful classical music played that evening by London Concertante.
Yes, it was a cold November day when I photographed these two kite surfers at Garylucas Beach in Co Cork. Brrrr.
The round tower in the cemetery in Ardmore is really impressive, standing out on the hillside overlooking the town. The tower was built in the 12th century but it has been kept in great condition. Lots more to learn about it on this page.
This morning is a beautiful start to the week. Fog in the distance and the fiery orange ball of the sun shining through clear skies. Blarney Castle was lit up in a lovely orange glow and I had to spend a few minutes away from the busy bustle of life to get this photo.
“Belonging to a big loving family!” Reflections in a car, Meade Street, just off Sullivan’s Quay, Cork.
