A ride at the funfair in Dingle swirls around at speed. A long exposure photo captures the movement of a long moment, not an instant of time.

Santa Monica Pier stretches out into the sea, but halfway out is a funfair including a roller coaster and ferris wheel, of all things. On a sunny day it’s a sight to behold. The place is thronged with people too!

All the fun of the swings on the Star Flyer at the Spin City Funfair in Dingle, Co Kerry.

The Star Flyer brings people 40m up before swinging them around. Exciting stuff, but I declined. Bumpers and Waltzers were enough for me. 🙂

The Spin City Funfair visits Dingle during the summer months and features the “Star Flyer” where participants are raised about 40m into the air before twirling them around and and around. No way will you get me on something like that! I’ll happily take photos of it though.

A truck in Piper’s Amusements, Crosshaven, bears the logo “Waltzer”. Not quite as much fun as the Waltzers funfair ride but there was no sign of them yesterday!

Whirling around and around A merry-go-round or whatever you call it kept the kids entertained in the Peace Park last night as Santa visited courtesy of 96FM. Even the Lord Mayor of Cork turned up. He had no problems finding parking. I saw his car parked up on the broad new pavement outside the park….
