Eircom Phone Booths in Cork
A pair of Eircom phone booths on St. Patrick Street, Cork, pictured in 2005. The phones were there until at least 2022, but Eir announced a few years ago that they’d be removing their public phone booths, so away they go.
Eircom have notions
The double phone box on Proby’s Quay is looking the worse for wear these days. This is what it looked like on a bright July day in 2021. It hasn’t improved since. Notions.
Towering over the Little People
Wherever you look on the north side of Cork City you’re bound to see a massive tower bristling with antennas. It’s an Eircom building AFAIK but I’ve never stopped outside it to look so it could be the secret offices of PROC for all I know! 🙂 Shot from Shandon Bells last Saturday.
ESB – Broadband – Eircom
ESB – Broadband – Eircom Power, Internet, Telephone. The combination of critical services that keeps my job going. When they work we don’t care but failure in even one is disastrous. Pictured on St. Patrick’s Street while I was kneeling down and preparing to change lens. Anyone know which shop this was taken in front…
