White Sand and Dunes
The white sands of Maghera Beach in Donegal go on and on into the distance. Not many people visiting this beautiful day in 2017 when I was there.
A tiny red car
I spotted a tiny red car parked on a bend in Ardara, Co Donegal on a visit there in 2017. I forgot to take a photo of the logo on the bonnet, so if anyone knows what type of car it is, please let me know! Lovely town too.
The Hills of Five Finger Strand
Five Fingers Strand in Co Donegal on a beautiful July evening in 2018. The sun was setting soon, and the light was barely turning golden, casting shadows on the hills overlooking the water.
A Donkey at Tullagh Strand
Tullagh Strand in Co Donegal is just one of the many fabulous beaches in that county but behind the strand is a field with two donkeys!

The Rolling Hills of Donegal
The hills behind Maghera Beach, Donegal.
The Oldest Bridge in Ireland
The oldest bridge in Ireland is claimed to be this bridge built by St. Patrick in the 6th century. It’s on the grounds of Moville Boutique Hostel in Co. Donegal. I say “claimed” because there are others such as the Esker Bridge in Dublin and this one in Trim. Who knows? The hostel is lovely…
Watching the sunset in Glencolmcille
Waves crashing on the shore at Glencolmcille, Co Donegal in 2017.
Sliabh Liag Cliffs
Sliabh Liag, or Slieve League as it’s known to most. The English name is a phonetic translation of the Irish name if you’re wondering. Absolutely beautiful location in Co. Donegal that will take your breath away. Both with the scenery and the walk up if you’re not fit and healthy. 🙂
The Rolling Hills of Glencolmcille
Near Glencolmcille, Co Donegal in 2017. A beautiful part of the country.
Assaranca Waterfall
Assaranca Waterfall is 8km from the scenic town of Ardara on the way to Maghera Beach. August 2017.
