A Storm Brewing
Cows waiting to be milked in a field near the Coachford Greenway. It’s a lovely walk along the River Lee, opposite Farran Woods. I had an umbrella, and it was a good thing too, as it started raining about ten minutes later.
Cows at the sea
Cows on the rocks near the sea on Sheep’s Head. Looks like one of them is enjoying the view of the water. Nice day for fishing ain’t it!
Curious Cows
Blarney is surrounded by fields, and up a country road from where I live you’ll find farm animals in the fields. It’s mostly cows, and when I approached a gate of one such field, the curious cows came over to watch this strange human on a bicycle.
The Gang is Watching
A gang of Kerry cattle observe me and a group of humans as we walk past their field. Fun fact – they are “believed to be one of the oldest breeds in Europe” according to Wikipedia. 🙂

The Cows are Watching
Suspicious eyes watch us through a fence in the grounds of Blarney Castle about a month ago. PS. No watermark. Photo is CC anyway.
A pot of gold in the fields of Kerry
This is my desktop background. I love it! After Inch Strand on the way to Dingle in County Kerry the road gets very narrow and winds through the hills before coming down to sea level again. The picture above should be a familiar scene to anyone who has travelled that road! The day we drove…
The rolling hills of the Irish countryside
People come from far and wide to see the beautiful Irish countryside and it’s no wonder. There’s such a wide range of different scenery that you could spend many a day discovering new beauty spots. This was shot near Dunmanway in West Cork. If you look very carefully you can see the wind power generators…
No moo room
Cows gather in the shed against the howling wind and cold at Allihies. No room for any more though!
