Blackbird in the bushes
A very busy blackbird stopped still for 5 seconds so I could catch a photo of it. He was digging around, throwing up leaves and hunting around between branches. Building material for a nest perhaps?
Robin Calling
A robin calling out in the grounds of Blarney Castle today.
Morning Light on Blarney Castle
This morning is a beautiful start to the week. Fog in the distance and the fiery orange ball of the sun shining through clear skies. Blarney Castle was lit up in a lovely orange glow and I had to spend a few minutes away from the busy bustle of life to get this photo.
Blarney Castle in September
Blarney Castle in pseudo infra red as I don’t have an infra red capable camera but I like the effect. September 2021.
Blarney Castle Sunset
A few days ago we had a lovely sunset and luckily I was out walking with my wife around the village. Here’s a shot from the road outside. This is a silhouette anyone in Blarney will recognise, isn’t it?
Blarney Horse
One of the horses in the grounds of Blarney Castle. February 2015.
Blarney House in the Distance
Walk down by Blarney Lake and you’ll see Blarney House off the distance. There are usually cattle or horses in the fields around here but on this July day in 2015 the fields were empty.
A curve of the neck
A swan in Blarney Lake this afternoon. Lovely day for a walk in the grounds of Blarney Castle.
Autumn Colours in Blarney Castle Gardens
I love the colours of the trees at this time of year. We’ve been lucky this year that the autumn and early winter has been so mild. It was 15C today! I think of this display as one last hurrah before the cold and rain and wind really sets in.
DO NOT DRIVE ON THE GRASS
Well, I won’t drive on the grass if you don’t.
