Surfing at Ardmore

A brave young man surfs the waves at Ardmore, Co Waterford this afternoon. It was freezing, cold winds sucked any warmth from exposed skin but this guy was out there battling the waves!

Looking For Holiday Deals

Three people looking for great travel deals at Barter's Travelnet on St. Patrick Street, Cork. November 2016.

From under the tracks

Walking up from the tunnel under the tracks at Kent Train Station, Cork.

Lost in Cork

Tourists, lost in Cork back in 2016.

Waiting for the bus

Waiting for the bus on St. Patrick's Street, Cork. November 2016.

The Crumb Patrol

A crow watches for crumbs on the ground at the Blarney Woollen Mills today. The white gazebo/tent is gone but it was good to see the (permanent?) outdoor covered seating next to the building still there.

Warning: dancing in the street

I'm glad I was warned. I could see his feet do a little tap dance as he passed by.

From One Life to Another

City life in Madrid, April 2017.

Under the National Monument

The National Monument in Dam Square, Amsterdam, is a white travertine monument with relief sculpting & the national site for the remembrance of WWII.

The Rain in Portugal

The rain in Portugal falls mainly on the umbrellas. Hopefully anyway.

Fog in the Light

A street light shines through the fog on a gloomy night recently. Many parts of the country had fog warnings but for someone on foot it lent a mysterious feel to ordinary scenes.

A Statue in the Octagonal Court

A statue in the Octagonal Court in the Vatican remains nameless despite my best efforts. It stands to the side of the Laocoön and I even found it on Google Maps but the pedestal is stands on doesn't have an inscription!
