Parisian Tourists
Tourists flock on to the road near the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Admittedly, I was one of them, but I was just walking across the road at the pedestrian lights.
Feeling Slightly Disjointed
The mirrors of 123 Champs-Élysées reflect a broken view of the world, making passers-by smile and laugh.
Human imitates statue
The Jeunesse d’Aristote is a statue made by Charles Degeorge and is currently in the Musée d’Orsay, Paris. Sometimes, we humans, unintentionally imitate others, even inanimate objects. Or maybe it’s just a comfortable way to sit. Degeorge captured that amazingly well in his work here.
Armed Soldiers patrol around Montmartre
Four soldiers climb the steps of Montmartre up to the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre on a warm August afternoon. They slowly walked up the steps, without comment or conversation. Hair’s the wig shop
I wonder what was going through this woman’s mind as she looked at the wigs on display in this shop in Valencia, Spain.
The Lilac Hat on Tour
A tour group in Malaga listens to a tour guide talk outside the cathedral. I liked the colour of the lilac hat in the foreground.
Missing the Sights
Mobile phones are handy, but you miss the world if you’re looking at them. My wife will laugh when she sees me say this.
The Dragon Awakens
The Dragon of Shandon was all ready to travel through Cork City. It was waiting just down the street from Shandon Bells. Raaaarrrrr!
Where in Cork?
Where in Cork are these Christmas lights?
The afterglow of sunset
The sky is glowing red and orange after the sun has set, and the land and buildings in the foreground have been cast into darkness.
